The logic behind CogniCaps
A lot of ingredients can help support an aging dog’s brain, but that often means giving several separate supplements every day. CogniCaps puts them in one place: it combines both Western and Eastern ingredients in a single small capsule, so you’re not managing a handful of products.
How common is CCD?
As dogs get older, it’s normal for their thinking and behavior to change. CogniCaps was created by veterinary neurologist Dr. Curtis Dewey, along with Dr. Fossum’s Pet Care, to help support memory and healthy brain function in senior dogs.
Ingredients:
Curcumin:
A plant antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties.
Zinc:
An essential mineral that supports enzyme activity and cell signaling in the brain.
S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe):
Supports glutathione (a cellular antioxidant) and healthy methylation, and plays a role in neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.
Salvia:
An antioxidant botanical with anti-inflammatory properties, long used to support cognition.
BioCog* (reg. pending):
Inhibits antibody aggregation which reduces plaque formation; is an antioxidant and is anti inflammatory.
Vitamin E:
A strong antioxidant that helps protect the myelin around nerve cells from oxidation, which matters for healthy brain-body communication.
Polygala:
A traditional botanical that supports BDNF and nerve growth factor and healthy synaptic plasticity; studied for memory in aging animals.
Phosphatidylserine:
EA phospholipid that’s a building block of brain cell membranes and supports healthy nerve signaling.
Coenzyme Q10:
A mitochondrial antioxidant that supports cellular energy and helps brain cells handle oxidative stress.
