The logic behind CogniCaps

A lot of ingredients can help support an aging dog’s brain, but that often means giving several separate supplements every day. CogniCaps puts them in one place: it combines both Western and Eastern ingredients in a single small capsule, so you’re not managing a handful of products.

How common is CCD?

As dogs get older, it’s normal for their thinking and behavior to change. CogniCaps was created by veterinary neurologist Dr. Curtis Dewey, along with Dr. Fossum’s Pet Care, to help support memory and healthy brain function in senior dogs.

My 15 year old lab-husky has been diagnosed with CCD. Prior to taking the CogniCaps, he would pace and pant for hours, and stare at the wall. After 2 weeks of taking these, he pants less and seems more himself. It has given him a better quality of life and has my life easier, too.
I recommend this highly. Has been a Godsend.

Works great on my older dog who was showing symptoms of dementia

My 13.5 year old setter is not showing much cognitive decline yet, but the few accidents in the house have stopped with the addition of Cognicaps. Definitely worth the expense if it helps to any degree. I hope to head off future issues by staying on this supplement.

I get my pills every cycle but for some reason even with auto renew, there’s a couple days of lapse where I can’t give my dog any of the pills because I’m waiting for them to arrive. Feels like it’s inconsistent. Otherwise it’s fine, my dog has somewhat progressed dementia so not sure if it’s actually working and staving off worse symptoms or if I’m just being hopeful. Honestly, this supplement should probably be given right when you see early signs of dementia in your pets, not after it gets worse. It probably would have made more of a difference. But so far my dog isn’t doing too badly so I’ll keep him on it for the time being.

Once confidant and social, our dog Tobias became isolated and trepidatious. Standing in corners for long periods and staring off into space. Confused as to who his family was, crying alone in the dark. It broke our hearts. Our suspicions confirmed by the vet – Tobias was suffering from cognitive decline – canine dementia. The vet suggested we begin using Dr. Fossum’s CogniCaps.
The change in our dear old boy was startling. Becoming more social, less isolated, his confidence and spirit in part returned.
Once, late refilling he missed several doses, relapsing. Again back on the supplement, these symptoms resolved, almost overnight.
His quality of life has stabilized, if not improved. For this, we will always be grateful.

After taking CogniCaps for several months, my Golden Retriever, Cassie, has started having more good days than bad. I definitely think these caps have helped make her life more peaceful for her as she goes through the stages of doggie dementia (CCD – Canine Cognitive Dysfunction).

My 16 year old Aussie is in remarkably good condition, but she started exhibiting symptoms of Sundowners. I’m seeing less of the confusion and pacing. No side effects so I plan to keep her on the two caps. a day.

We have started giving our 12 year old dog the Cognicaps about a month ago. She seems to have become more active, sleeping less during the day, and appears to be more alert during walks. It’s somewhat subjective but they seem to be helping.

We purchased the cognicaps after our friend and trusted veterinarian advised us that our dog should try taking them. Our dog started getting up in the middle of the night and just starring at the wall and looking lost, she always sleeps all through the night on our bed and doesn’t move, so I knew something was off with her. I told our friend about our dog’s behavior and she suggested that we give her the cognicaps, and they have made such a huge difference! She sleeps all through the night now, which is making everyone happy!

Our Norfolk Terrier Snickers recently began taking the Cognicaps at the age of 10. It’s been about a month of consistent use and we notice a difference in his temperament. He wakes up spry and has more energy throughout the day. 100% recommend

Gave my old dog only three doses, each time his reaction was worse. Each time about 20 minutes after taking, he started panting harder and harder. Then he started shaking violently and looked like his heart was going in to A-Fib. Stupidly we tried to give it two more times thinking it was a fluke,it was not. That was enough, the poor old dog has enough problems with out dying from some supplement. Informed them and had to return the cognicaps (at my expense) for a refund. Also informed the Vet that told us to try these He said he might rethink telling people to try them

My dog has been taking CogniCaps for just about 2 weeks, so it’s a little soon to
tell what the full effect will be but so far I have noticed the he has fewer episodes of random barking. That was the main reason why I tried this product. I was surprised to notice an improvement this quickly.
I will definitely continue giving this to my dog

Goose is my childhood dog and has been my best friend for the last 15 years. He started having focal seizures and fecal incontinence around 3 months ago. We went to the neurologist to find out more about his focal seizures where he got an MRI of his brain. Unfortunately he has significant brain atrophy and was diagnosed with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction. The neurologist recommended this supplement to help with his symptoms and keppra for his focal seizures. There is no cure for CCD but starting supplements early is the key, I wish I knew about this product sooner. Before starting on cognicaps, Goose had fecal incontinence for two weeks where he would drop little nuggets in his sleep. We bought diapers and accepted our new normal but the same night he had his first two pills of cognicaps there were no more nuggets in his sleep. We have been using this for two months now and he hasn’t had any new symptoms of CCD and his fecal incontinence has stopped completely. No more poopy diapers! Im so grateful for this product!

We started our senior male dachshund on CogniCaps per our integrative veterinarian’s recommendation. Within 2 weeks, my husband and I noticed he was no longer wandering aimlessly from room to room or staring off into space. We’re happy to see improvement and hope it will help our little guy maintain quality of life with us awhile longer!

My 18 year old Miniature Dachshund, Lucky, was showing some serious signs of cognitive impairment. The poor little guy was frequently anxious, getting lost in the house, having accidents, barking frequently and was up most of the night pacing.

Our veterinarian recommended CogniCaps. We were very skeptical, but thought it could not hurt to try. Lucky has been taking the supplement for about two months now, and the change in him has been amazing. He is no longer having accidents, is barking much less, and settles in to go to sleep at night fairly quickly. His anxiety and episodes of getting lost in the house are greatly reduced.

We know we have limited time left with our little guy, but we are very grateful that the CogniCaps have so dramatically improved his quality of life.

Our vet recommended Dr Fossum’s CogniCaps – it’ been a life changer. DJ sleeps through the night, is active with our other dogs and loves going for walks again. Thanks to the team at Dr Fossum’s!!!

Mandy is pretty well into dementia. They help a bit, you told me to give Jack some too and he likes them. I would recommend them to anyone who has a dog with the dementia but I would hope to start them as soon as it is confirmed. Once well into it, there is NO recovery. It just progresses. But to keep them healthy it works fine. She has no reaction to the taste either. But her beard turns orange as she puts her whole mouth into the bowl. So she wears a bib and it helps. that may help others. you can get a baby one in the dollar stores. Bleach will clean it.

We have been using CogniCaps with our now 15.5 year old dachshund for over a year. The CogniCaps combined with the CBD oil have been a game changer for for him. It helped take the edge off of some of the cognitive deficits we noticed with him, particularly the irritability, wandering without purpose, and anxiety. While he is awake more often during the night, he is not as restless.

When my dog was diagnosed with CCD my vet recommended Cogni Caps. It’s been a year now and I’ve seen marked improvement in his willingness to play again. He is sharp and wants to figure out puzzles . I know his decline is inevitable but Cogni Caps clearly slowed the CCD down and has given me more “ happy” times with him. Thank you Dr. Fossums!

My dog, Chewie (age around16) started showing signs if decline over the past two years. It got markedly worse the 6 months right before a stroke which happened about 5 months ago. The stroke impacted his reasoning, awareness, and gait. While we managed to get his blood pressure under control, we noticed the mind spark he used to have was no longer there. We consulted with our neurologist, who suggested trying this first before drastic measures. We have been using Cognicaps for about 3 weeks, and have seen marked improvement. He is once again interested in food, able to play “find it”, and responds to his name. I have to say that while Cognicaps might not be the only catalyst that helped him along, as we have been adding brain and mobility exercises since his stroke. Either way, we are happy with the product and will continue with the twice-a-day dosing. The only thing I wish is that the capsules were smaller. As a smaller, white dog, he would sometimes bite and spit them out. The broken capsules would leave an orange mess that would stain our hands and his white fur for days.

I wish I would’ve started my 11 year-old Chihuahua on this product earlier. In just under a month, Oreo’s CCD symptoms have reversed. Within a week of use, she was sleeping through the night and waking rejuvenated. She has stopped getting lost in corners and staring at walls. She’s rejoined the pack and become engaged in life again. Even zoomies! Which she hasn’t done in years. We plan to continue with Cogni Caps as long as possible.
